Q: How long will my listing in the Search for a Private Investigator Directory last?
A: All listings will remain on the website forever. We always recommend that you register before adding a listing as this will allow you to update it in the future should you need to.
Q: Are listings really free?
A: Basic listings are currently free. This is to make sure that our listings as complete and useful to people looking to find a private detective or investigator as they can possibly be.
Q: What are the differences between Basic, Premium and Sponsored listings?
A: A Basic listing is just that, a searchable listing added to the general Search4aPI Directory. A Premium listing will appear above all basic listings in the Search results. The Sponsored listing always appears at the top of the category, in its own highlighted box, Much as Google AdWords listings appear above its organic search listings in its search results, You can upgrade a Basic listing at any time, here.
Q: I consider my location to be the worldwide. Why do you require geographical information?
A: Geographical information is necessary because a directory needs an organizing principle. If a directory is not organized along some guiding principle, it is ultimately useless for the end user.
Q: Can I list in more than one geographical location?
A: Yes, within limits. You must pick the main geographical location that best describes where you work and offer your services. Listings that do apply to be added to more than one category may be reviewed and edited.
Q: What is the main benefit of listing in the Search for a PI Directory?
A: Basically exposure - the more paths leading to your website, the better. Search4aPI is currently operating as both a resource for Private Investigators and detectives who need to outsource jobs outside their area of operation and as a search directory for member of the public and businesses looking to hire a Private Detective or investigator.
Q. I need to edit my Business Details in the Search4aPI listings?
A: If you registered with Search4aPI prior to listing your website then simply click on the Update a listing button, log in and amend your listing. If you need to alter your listing in the Search4aPI listings and did not Register before adding your listing, please email Admin@search4api.co.uk with full details of the changes required.
Q. Can someone other than me edit, maintain, or update my directory listing?
A. Yes. Search4aPI Staff may edit or remove your listing from the database if it displays incorrect information, broken links or appears to not represent the business it advertises.
Q. How do I list a web site if I don't have one?
A. You can list your organization's phone number instead.
We do reserve the right to reject and remove any listings that are inappropriate.
